GES

Development, construction and operation of world-scale terminals

Global Energy Storage, or GES, is an independent storage company with a greenfield focused strategy to establish a global network of first-class energy storage assets upholding the highest standards with regards to HSE, ESG and operational efficiency.

Backed by Bluewater, a leading London-based private equity company focused on energy transition with USD 2.5 billion under management, GES possesses the resources needed for the successful realization of any large and complex energy storage project.

GES is a continuation of GPS and is managed by the same management team, which has an extensive and successful track record of building terminals worldwide – over 17 million of m3 of new storage – including several LNG, LPG and ammonia projects. GPS recently completed one of the world’s largest independent greenfield LPG projects in Port Klang, Malaysia, contracted exclusively to Equinor under a long-term terminalling agreement.

GES has recently acquired part of the Stargate Terminal, located in Europoort, Port of Rotterdam, where it plans to build a green ammonia import terminal, ideally located to serve customers in Benelux and Germany, where the core of European capital intensive industry is located.
